PDRC FKM UI as a centre of positive deviance approach, tried to give information and dissemination information about positive deviance by PDRC’s website and bulletin. Besides centre of information, PDRC also organizes and conducts training of positive deviance, workshop, seminars, field visit and research in health related areas positive deviance approach another areas including: community nutrition, capacity building need assessment etc.

Positive Deviance National Workshop

The aim of PD National Workshop was to review and improve the Positive Deviance approach as an effective and efficient method in dealing with health and nutrition problems. The workshop was held on 13-15 November 2007 at Hotel Bumi Wiyata Depok with theme "5 Years of Implementing Nutrition Programs Using the Positive Deviance Approach: Lesson Learned and the Way Forward."

Participants who attended about 130 people,  representative of the University, Ministry of Health, 16 health offices, health centers, cadres, village health committees, 10 international NGOs and two local NGOs as well as three guests from the Palestinian Ministry, WFP and international NGOs.

Research

  1. Positive Deviance evaluation in 14 District in Indonesia, collaboration with 5 NGO( Save the Children, World Vision Indonesia, Mercy Corps, CARE, and CRS )
  2. Sibling Study , collaboration with CARE and Mercy Corps
  3. Endline Survey on Food, Health and Nutrition  security at HH level, in 2 districts in 2008, in collaboration with CRS
  4. Training Needs Assessment in Nutrition services among Health Providers, in 2 districts in 2009, in ccollaboration with Plan Indonesia
